Hydraulic Elevators

Hydraulic elevators are driven  by a piston at the bottom of the elevator that pushes the elevator to up levels. They are used for less height applications of 2-8 floors and travel at a maximum speed of 59 meter per minute. The pump room for hydraulic elevators is located at the lowest floor adjacent to the elevator shaft. Hydraulic elevators have many two main types

1. Holed  Hydraulic Elevators (Conventional)
2. Holeless Hydraulic Elevators

Holeless hydraulic elevators are classified in to

        1. Telescopic Hydraulic Elevators
        2. Non-telescoping (single stage) Hydraulic Elevators
        3. Roped Hydraulic Elevators
